DAN KOTLER IS BACK, AND THIS TIME HE’S TACKLING ONE OF THE OLDEST MYSTERIES IN HISTORY

The second Dan Kotler archaeological thriller!

1914—Thomas Edison stands and watches his West Orange laboratory burn to the ground, taking his life’s work with it. And he smiles. In his pocket is a stone that is the key to untold mysteries, and with it he will start fresh, and create wonders beyond any of his previous work.

1974—Two US Army Special Forces officers uncover a lockbox filled with invaluable enemy intelligence that can turn the tide of the Vietnam conflict. Among the papers and maps is another stone, nearly identical to Edison’s. With this, the two officers will build a financial empire, corrupt to its core but powerful enough to elude even the FBI.

TWO STONES, FOUND SIXTY YEARS APART, AND BOTH HOLDING CLUES TO WHAT MAY BE THE LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS

Today—Dan Kotler, independent researcher and archaeologist, is winding down from the events surrounding the theft and recovery of the Coelho Medallion, and discovering that the fallout of this history-altering adventure reaches further than he’d imagined. As academic colleagues shun him and the press hounds him, Kotler finds himself looking for a new purpose.

When Gail McCarthy, granddaughter of one of Manhattan’s wealthiest real estate moguls, brings an ancient stone to Kotler’s attention, he finds himself embroiled once again in intrigue, jeopardy, and mystery. This time he may uncover one of history’s oldest secrets—if he survives long enough.

Working with his friend from the FBI, Agent Roland Denzel, Kotler strikes out on a quest to uncover and solve the Atlantis Riddle, and once again rewrite history as we know it.

THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES IN THE SECOND DAN KOTLER THRILLER

The Atlantis Riddle A Dan Kotler Archaeological Thriller eBook Kevin Tumlinson

Kevin Tomlinson delivers an exciting story with awesome academic interest as well as some really good action. He keeps the mushy stuff to a minimum, but allows his character to be human and have feelings as well as intellect and just all-out great skills of many types. I want to be Dan Kotler wen I finally grow up ( and I'm a girl!) Only I will cook like a boss on top of it all because I already have that skill:) The story is well written and paced so that I didn't want to put it down until I finished it, so I read it in one sitting while riding in the car to return my daughters to their respective colleges. It kept me happily occupied the whole trip. I want more!

The Atlantis Riddle A Dan Kotler Archaeological Thriller eBook Kevin Tumlinson Reviews

Classic adventure yarn involving the hunt for treasure from a lost civilization complete with hidden passages, betrayal, and some suspense. Characters were likable, plot was well-conceived and liked mention of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami which was well worth reading up more on. Entertaining book overall and wouldn't hesitate to purchase more of the Dan Kotler historical suspense series!
Great follow-up to The Coelho Medallion.
Dan Kotler is right up there with Harvey Bennett,
and manages to get in the same amount of trouble.
Denzel is also awesome, his stability compliments
Dan perfectly.
The story is very clever, lots of twists, action, and very
intelligent premise. I 've always believed Thomas Edison
was up to a lot of sneaky stuff!
Anyway, already half way through The Devil's Interval.
Keep them coming!
I loved the way the author, Kevin Tumlinson, has threaded bits of history here and there throughout this novel. It is fascinating to learn something while enjoying a great read. The character DanKotler and his FBI sidekick, get themselves into some pretty dire situations. There are discoveries and surprises, in this story, who does not like a surprise? Joining the characters as they make discoveries that lead them on to the next is what keeps the action moving. I believe the settings are so well sketched that is it easy to feel as if you are there having the same reactions to this exceptional adventure. I look forward to the next in the series of Dan Kotler books.
I enjoyed reading this book. It has a simplicity to its narrative, yet never fails to deliver. You figure out who the villain is, and feel a sense of satisfaction when it is confirmed. But the journey is fascinating. How many more books can there be on Atlantis? Many more, I hope. Dan Brown doesn't come anywhere near Kevin, in my opinion.

The excitement of finding a lost city, but discovering someone else had been there before doesn't diminish the plot at all; in fact, it enhances the plot. It reads easily and you feel. Kinship with the characters. Friendship, loyalty and trust abound in many ways in this book.

Highly recommended thriller
If possible I’d give this book a lot higher rating than a five. I read the first book about the medallion and I had no idea that it would be the first of a series written by Kevin Tumlinson. Both the books that I have read so far are and I love thrillers were so intriguing so well written that you never knew from one page to the next exactly what was going to happen and I like a story that has a mystery that keep you on the edge of your seat the books for stainless one goes right into the other I’m fixing to start on the third book I recommend anybody who likes thrillers as well as archaeology and physics this is the book for you you won’t regret it and thank you Kevin🤓!!
I read the first Dan Kotler book a couple years ago. I’m not a regular fan of thrillers, but I liked it enough that I planned to read the next book eventually. After almost two years, I finally got around to it, and I’m really glad I did. The Atlantis Riddle proved that sometimes a sequel can be better than the first in the series. Tumlinson’s plot may seem fantastical, but it’s just realistic enough that I found myself looking up Atlantis and Thomas Alva Edison on Wikipedia half-way through. The last thing I’ll say is that I liked The Atlantis Riddle enough that I added the next book, The Devil’s Interval, to my to-read list before I finished the last page.
Kevin Tumlinson is an extremely talented author. He is knowledgeable in a wide variety of subjects and uses that knowledge to make his books believable. Including the Atlantis Riddle, I have read nine of Kevin's books, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one.

His characters are well described, leading the reader through the plot. The plots have sub-plots, guiding the characters through the twists and turns. As I was reading this story, I felt like I was pulled along, wondering what was next in this exciting mystery/thriller.

Dan Kotler, the primary character, is well fleshed out. He spends most of his time doing whatever is necessary - crawling in caves, digging in the dirt, brushing dirt off objects, etc. - to find treasure, especially antiquities. His most recent project is the Coelho dig site where, among other treasures, they find the "Coelho Medallion", named for Dr. Eloi Coelho, a good friend of Kotler's.

Kotler becomes involved in an FBI case that is being investigated by another friend, Agent Roland Denzel. As the investigation progresses, more characters are added - some good and some very bad. Some are very misleading in their intentions.

For a time, Dan and Roland are taken hostage. There are shoot-outs. Will Dan and Roland survive? Will they find the treasure? Please read this exciting book for the outcome. I think you will thoroughly enjoy it.
